Paranormal Activity
Last weekend, I watched the latest horror/suspense most talked about film : Paranormal Activity. Here's the synopsis : Micah and Katie had just moved to a new surburban home in San Diego, California and have been experiencing disturbances for awhile and they are trying to see what has been going on at night by trying to capture the events occuring using a videocamera. There had been eerie footages that proves something is haunting them. But, what is it that's haunting them actually? An unrest soul or a demon seeking for revenge? Check out the trailer.

There are reviews saying all kinds of things about the movie but in my opinion : go watch it. Why? Its worth every buck. Despite its being made within a week back in 2006, with a shoestring budget of US$15 000, with low-tech filmings, with quick day to night scenes in a short time, it still manages to send the chills just like any other high budget horror movies. Made by the director of The Blair Witch Project, he manages to convey all the spooks straightforwardly in a documentary-styled footage. Although I find the intro a bit draggy, the storyline went quite smoothly, despite covering my face with my jacket during some scenes.

You might get easily freaked out with the sudden shutting of your bedroom door or maybe the rippling of your bedsheet after watching the movie though. A hard time sleeping is guaranteed. So if you're curious to find out what kind of paranormal activity they're experiencing, go watch it. I give it a 4/5 rating. Toodles! =)

    Joshua here.
I don't have a strong heart and for horror, so I won't be buying anything that screams horror. Still, I must admit that it was a rather cheap movie. How was it in your opinion?

I plan on watching. I'm a horror movie fan but I hope the camera doesn't make me puke at the end or something.

I'm not a horror fan myself - waste of money as I cover my eyes most of the time, but it's good that some people can sit through it all unfazed!
