For this week, I'll be writing about The Informant! I know its not as huge as 2012 that sneaks in last week but, I watched this movie because Matt Damon is in the movie! hahah. If you don't know who he is, well, he acted in Ocean's Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen trilogy and The Bourne Identity, Supremacy and Ultimatum trilogy. Still don't know yet? Google his name and you'll find out, or even better, consider watching the movie.
Here's something about the movie : Based on a true story of the highest-ranking corporate whistleblower, Matt Damon is Mark Whitacre. He works for ADM, a company running for the Lysine business. (Lysine is an essential amino acid that is required by our body.) So, this movie revolves around his character, exposing his company's price-fixing conspiracy with the FBI. In this dark comedy movie, he sees himself as a hero of his company and handed a promotion. But before all that could happen, the FBI needs evidence and Whitacre eagerly agrees to wear a wire and carry a hidden tape recorder in this briefcase; imagining himself as a secret agent. Unfortunately for the FBI, thier 'agent' hasn't been quite a help as you won't be able to decipher what is real and what is not. Find out what is the end product for Mark Whitacre. Watch the trailer!
I find the movie a bit draggy and you have to really concentrate on what they are talking. Since its a dark comedy, you have to understand what they are really talking about in order to get the comedy bit. Matt Damon really executes his character pretty well and just by the look at his face, you'll be laughing by yourself with no reason at all. The part that I like the most about this movie is the narrations and the background music. So, if you're bored, just listen to the music and you'll be back to see what's going on. Its just like the Ocean's trilogy, having the same director, you'll tend to get what I'm trying to say when you watch this with the music effect at the background. Watch this movie if you're a Matt Damon fan or maybe just want to watch something different out there. Its ok if you want to give this movie a miss. Watch it when you're free. I give this movie 3/5. |
