Hello again! (: This time, its about our favourite classic detective, Mr Sherlock Holmes. I watched this movie on last Christmas Day. So its still quite new. Its still showing in the theatres islandwide too. Hooray for people who have not watch this movie. (:
I went to watch this movie because I was attracted by Mr Iron Man, Robert Downery Jr as Sherlock Holmes, the handsome British actor, Mr Jude Law as Dr Watson, and in the same time wishing that I could be Irene Adler acted by Rachel McAdams. Yes, I know you'd be saying '...you wish....' haha. But anyways, here's how the story goes...as far as I could recall.........I'm joking!
Detective Sherlock Holmes and his partner, Dr Watson, will battle to bring down a new nemesis who is trying to destroy the whole of England. As they unravel the mysteries and clues with their famous funny antics, Holmes found out that Irene Adler, the only woman who had ever bested Holmes and who has a 'not so love-like' relationship with, is partly working with the nemesis. As Dr Watson plans to marry his fiancee, Holmes began to feel that he is going to be left by his partner and do things that would make Dr Watson to join him in his detective adventures, like purposely leaving a gun behind knowing that Watson would bring it to him in case he needs help.
My favourite part of the whole movie is their fighting scenes, especially when Holmes explains in very detail what he would do to the other person and the effects of it. The slow-motion technique is very interesting. Its something that you can never expect from Madonna's ex-husband - director Guy Ritchie. Other than that, this movie has humour in it. I find that Robert Downey Jr to be the subtitute of Johnny Depp. Both are able to carry any kind of character very very well and in this movie, he really manages to capture what Sherlock Holmes would be potrayed on screen. Partnering with Jude Law, what's not to like about this movie? Plus, add in Rachel McAdams, you'll have a movie full of beautiful faces to look at, a good and interesting storyline to understand, good picture and sound effects for you to capture the essential moments of the movie and you'll be smiling away after watching the whole movie! Go watch it!!!!
